Payment Processing

Secure Gateway Processing

In 2008, PTC recognized the importance of working with non-profit organizations and made it a top priority. To meet the unique needs of nonprofits, PTC took significant steps to enhance its payment gateway infrastructure. The gateway is securely hosted in a tier 1 data-hosting facility situated in the Dallas, Fort Worth Metropolitan area. This strategic location was chosen due to the facility's expertise in PCI compliance and its exceptional uptime and availability.

The PTC gateway is fully PCI compliant and has a current ROC (Report on Compliance), which can be provided upon request. This compliance ensures that all transactions are conducted with the highest level of data protection and security.

The gateway interfaces seamlessly with two major card authorization networks, Chase Paymentech and Compass, enabling PTC to process donations made with all major credit and debit cards. This broad compatibility allows donors to contribute using their preferred payment methods, enhancing convenience for both organizations and donors.

One of the standout features of the PTC gateway is its capability to execute Transparent Redirect. This means that sensitive payment data collected during transactions are sent directly to PTC without being stored on the organization's server. As a result, non-profit organizations can achieve PCI compliance with minimal investment and effort, as they don't need to handle or store sensitive cardholder information.

Furthermore, the PTC gateway implements tokenization of cardholder information. Instead of storing actual credit card data, the gateway generates unique tokens that serve as secure substitutes. This tokenization ensures that ongoing donor transactions can be processed without any risk of security breaches, offering peace of mind to both organizations and their donors.
